I had a lovely stay overall at the hotel, particularly enjoying the service provided by staff who truly went above and beyond. The location was great for unwinding, but I did find some aspects of the facilities, such as the spa area, to be a bit crowded at times. The dining experience was pleasant, though I felt the menu inconsistencies were a bit confusing. Room comfort was a definite highlight, but there were minor maintenance issues that need attention.

The room was clean and comfortable, a real highlight of our stay, especially with a cozy fireplace and a lovely ambiance. However, I was surprised to find that some amenities, like a soap dish, were missing.

The hotel is ideally located, making it perfect for relaxing strolls around town. Access to the spa facilities was also excellent, which I really appreciated.
Dining

Dining at the Cannery was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, but I found the differences in prices between the menu in the room and the dining room a bit confusing.

The overall facilities were nice, particularly the spa area. However, it was quite busy during my visit, especially with families and children around, which made it less tranquil than I had hoped.

Our stay was mixed overall; the staff provided excellent service and the massages were top-notch, but the room itself felt outdated and not worth the high price. The hot tub was closed early, which was a letdown after a long day. While the spa was a highlight, I wouldn't recommend staying overnight until some renovations are made.

Rooms
5.0
The room was very dated and disappointing, feeling more like a 3-star hotel. It lacked modern amenities and had multiple maintenance issues.
Service
9.0
The staff was helpful, professional, and polite throughout our stay.
Location

The hotel isn't extremely close to the main part of town, which could be inconvenient if you want to explore.

The hot tub facilities were disappointing, as they were closed earlier than advertised, which was frustrating.

I recently stayed at the Pillar and Post for our 10th anniversary, and it was a nice break overall. The service was top-notch with friendly staff, and the indoor pool was just perfect. However, I did find my bathroom a bit small and noticed some wear and tear in the room. While the Cannery restaurant had some tasty options, it could use more variety to elevate the dining experience.

Rooms
7.0
The room was cozy and well-appointed, but the bathroom was small, and I felt a chilly draft from the outside corridor. It was nice to have a fireplace, but the overall decor seemed a bit dated.
Service
9.0
The staff was welcoming and incredibly courteous. They were attentive and helped us with reservations for local attractions, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
Location
8.0
The hotel is situated within a great area allowing easy access to the spa amenities and other local attractions, which was convenient for our anniversary getaway.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience at Cannery was good, but the menu could benefit from a broader selection. We enjoyed the meals we had, but there is definitely room for improvement.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were enjoyable, especially the indoor pool, which had perfect water temperature; however, I was disappointed to find the outdoor pool crowded.

Our stay at the Pillar and Post was truly memorable, thanks to the warm and personal touches throughout our visit. The rooms, while cozy, could use some updating, but the service was exceptional and the dining experience at the Cannery was outstanding. The location was convenient, but a bit of a walk from the main attractions. Overall, a lovely stay with some room for improvement.

Rooms

The room was cozy, featuring a fireplace and a private courtyard, but it felt somewhat dated and could benefit from a refresh.

The service was outstanding, with staff going above and beyond to make our stay special, especially the concierge checking in with us before our arrival.

The hotel is conveniently located and offers a shuttle service to nearby wineries, though it's a bit of a walk to the main downtown area.

Facilities

The spa facilities were lovely, especially the outdoor hot springs, although the indoor pool area had some cleanliness concerns.

My stay at the hotel was nothing short of fantastic! The location in historic Niagara on the Lake was ideal, with beautiful scenery and nearby vineyards. The rooms were comfortable and equipped with charming features, though a bit on the pricey side. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made the experience truly special. The dining at The Cannery Restaurant was a highlight, though I wish breakfast was included. Overall, it was a wonderful getaway, but the value could have been improved with better room pricing and included breakfast.
